There were pines and tone of spring
We both peer and we both dream
Hoe ‘bout names? They were Friggs
Who were plants but all then seemed:
Others died, others bloomed;
Others wed with their grooms.
Then there was home
Look! Under clouds washed them rain
But sun dried them before it roamed.
Thereafter, our children play.
Tonight, they would pray
While we both peer
And we both kissed them,
“Goodnight, Hansel and Grey.”
Then we both feel it
And we both smile
That the house we lived
Was the home we longed
Under the moon where stars now gazed
Be it sad or be it glad.
The house with pines
Was the house in gay.
We both peer and we both dream
Hoe ‘bout names? They were Friggs
Who were plants but all then seemed:
Others died, others bloomed;
Others wed with their grooms.
Then there was home
Look! Under clouds washed them rain
But sun dried them before it roamed.
Thereafter, our children play.
Tonight, they would pray
While we both peer
And we both kissed them,
“Goodnight, Hansel and Grey.”
Then we both feel it
And we both smile
That the house we lived
Was the home we longed
Under the moon where stars now gazed
Be it sad or be it glad.
The house with pines
Was the house in gay.
